Hey! This post's a little over two years old now, so some of what's here might be out of date. Still worth a read, but if anything really matters to you, it's worth double-checking against a newer source too.

Timber Starter Theme

To follow along at home, you'll first need to download the Timber Starter theme after installing the timber plugin on your WordPress website - https://github.com/timber/starter-theme

The timber theme will allow us to create render templates in a bonus video at the end of the series, but aside from the .twig templates, the Timber starter theme has a very barebones structure for our PHP logic which I prefer over other starter themes.

WhatJackHasMade Theme

If you want to skip a few WordPress setup stages and use my WordPress theme, you can download it from Github at - https://github.com/whatjackhasmade/whatjackhasmade.co.uk/tree/master/web/app/themes/whatjackhasmade

Timber has had major version releases since 2019, with changes to its Twig integration and file structure. The starter theme linked above may no longer match the current Timber starter theme.
