Gatsby & WordPress - 3.1 - Getting Started with Gatsby
Hey! This post's a little over two years old now, so some of what's here might be out of date. Still worth a read, but if anything really matters to you, it's worth double-checking against a newer source too.
In this video, we get up and running with our Gatsby portion of the series.
To follow along with the video you'll need some software dependencies installed on your local machine -
- Node - https://nodejs.org/en/download/
- NPM - https://www.npmjs.com/get-npm
- Yarn - https://yarnpkg.com/lang/en/docs/install/
- Gatsby CLI - https://www.gatsbyjs.org/docs/gatsby-cli/
We spin up a Gatsby starter kit which is available at - https://www.gatsbyjs.org/starters/gatsbyjs/gatsby-starter-default/
Gatsby's ecosystem has changed substantially since this was recorded — Netlify acquired Gatsby in 2023 and has since wound down Gatsby Cloud. The gatsbyjs.org domain and starter links above may no longer resolve as shown.
