Animation - Loading Glass

Hey! Just so you know, this article is over 2 years old. Some of the information in it might be outdated, so take it with a grain of salt. I'm not saying it's not worth a read, but don't take everything in it as gospel. If you're curious about something, it never hurts to double-check with a more up-to-date source!

About Loading Glass

#

Loading glass is a simple five-second animation that I have created in Adobe After Effects. After viewing a tonne of loading animations on both Dribbble and Behance, I felt inspired to have a go at creating my own animation! The original icon was made using Adobe Illustrator. I then imported the SVG file as a layer into the composition and converted the layer into a shape layer. With the shape layer now created, I applied a trim paths effect to the shape. Modifying the keyframes to ease in the end from 0% to 100%, and applying a rotation before reversing. Although the loading glass animation is short and simple, it is a step in the right direction for learning about Adobe's products and how they intertwine.
